Mission -- Open Solution Network

The mission of Tipology is to pioneer a world-class "Open Solution Network" initially in the arena of health care.

When we say, "Solution Network," we envision a community environment based on Web 3.0 standards (or higher) for the cultivation, connection, sharing, and adoption of effective resources, with special focus on boiled-down, immediately-useful content.

When we say "Open," we envision something more than just “Open Source” code.  By “Open,” we mean:  (1) Open Participation, (2) Open Discussion, and (3) Open Public License terms.  Open Public License terms will cover such areas as source code, data architecture, content, know-how, and trademark.

Initially, Tipology will focus on health care -- more particularly on reimbursement and practice growth issues facing health care providers.

This is why you may hear Tipology referred to as a "Health Care Solution Network."  It's also why our home page is currently located at healthcare.tipology.net.

The name, Tipology, which stems from the English word, "tip," is a reference to the site's primary objective -- boiled-down, immediately-useful resources.

Initially, ProviderLAW Corporation -- a separate health care entity -- will serve as one of the flagship content developers for Tipology.  However, as the site is developed, tested, and released incrementally, we will broaden the company's base of participation, using templates contributed by ProviderLAW.

Our White Papers attempt to explain more about the role and function of a Health Care Solution Network.  See, e.g., "What is a Health Care Solution Network and How Will It Benefit Me?" by Keith Pendleton, JD, Tipology, LLC, Feb. 16, 2010 (3 pages).

Achieving the mission of Tipology will not happen overnight.  Particular attention will need to be placed on the cultivation of clear, truthful, and unbiased information, and on the promotion of differing and opposite viewpoints.

Your patience is appreciated.
