ProviderLAW’s Model Assignment & Lien Document has been researched, developed, and tested over a 15-year period of time.  Among other things, this document has been designed to work “hand-in-hand” with the nationwide UCC lien framework.  There are two types of cases where it is especially important that you, the health care provider, use a well-drafted Assignment & Lien Document: (1) all types of accident cases (automobile, worker’s compensation, etc), and (2) certain types of health insurance cases. If you follow a 5-step protocol when it comes to your Assignment & Lien, including obtaining a well-drafted document, you can drastically reduce many of the recurring payment problems that affect your practice in these scenarios.  If you do not follow the protocol, you will continue to experience considerable lost revenue, lost time, and lost energy.  This fact has been proven time and time again.

Spinal Kinetics' FREE Evidence-Based Education Program on Spinal Ligament Injuries   |   Spinal Kinetics

Do you treat spinal soft-tissue injuries and spinal chronic pain?  In his latest article, Dr. Jeff Cronk DC, CICE explains the need for providers who treat such injuries – irrespective of specialty or profession -- to perform standardized spinal ligament assessments.  No longer the sole domain of any one profession or specialty, standardized spinal ligament assessments represent where the health care industry is going.  “For the first time,” writes Dr. Cronk, “one test, establishing patient-specific results, can be understood and interpreted the same by every Spinal Care Provider in the Spinal Care Industry.”  Dr. Cronk invites anyone with questions to call him directly at Spinal Kinetics West at 715-833-8533.  Alternatively, you are encouraged to check out the FREE “evidenced-based” educational program which is available to all providers for 24/7 viewing.

ProviderLAW's Model Notice to IME Providers (MN) (FREE)   |   ProviderLAW   |   MN v.4   |  Last Updated:  Nov 19, 2011

As part of an effort to help providers overcome -- better yet, prevent -- defective IMEs and Reviews, ProviderLAW has released a first-of-its-kind PRE-IME NOTICE -- "Notice to IME Provider." The purpose of this Pre-IME notice is educational.   It's to serve as a spring board for community discussion and development work. The intent here is to pull together a vast array of medical necessity laws -- many of which have been unknown -- and to condense them into a singular, visible form... It's to put those laws up on the table so that we, as problem solvers, can discuss them with the view: How can we put these laws to work?  Think of the Notice Form as simply a "Start Button" for medical necessity discussion.

For more info, see "Defective IMEs & Reviews: How to Overcome Them..., and Better Yet, Prevent Them!" Tipology/ProviderLAW News Alert, Issue 19, Fri., November 18, 2011.

Keith Pendleton, JD will be discussing the Notice to IME Providers at:

       ~ Doctor's Lodge on Sunday, Dec. 11, 11am-3pm
